The Department of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School seeks to hire a tenure-track specialist in economics, development economics, or political economy with an East Asia focus.
The position is open with respect to rank and sub-regional focus, though some preference will be given to demonstrated expertise extending beyond China and/or Japan. A research agenda relevant to regional or international security concerns, broadly conceived, while not essential, is also welcome.
The Naval Postgraduate School is a fully accredited graduate school, whose students are drawn from the armed forces and civilian agencies of the United States and many other countries. National Security Affairs is a multi-disciplinary department with curricula based on comparative politics, international relations, history, and economics.
