Biography
Col Dirk Rogalski joined the faculty of the NPS in February 2009. He received his M.A. from the University of the German Armed Forces, Munich, in 1980. He has a background as a fighter pilot of the Luftwaffe. After graduating from the German Armed Forces General Staff Course at the Fuehrungsakademie, Hamburg, in 1991 he held a variety of national and international Leadership and Staff Positions at the tactical, operational and ministerial level.

His expertise centers on European Security and Defense Policy including NATO/EU Military Policy, Concepts, Plans and Operations. Col Rogalski has also taught at the Canadian Forces College, Toronto. Before Colonel Rogalski arrived in Monterey he was Chief of Staff 2nd Air Division in Birkenfeld, Germany. His tour included a deployment to HQ ISAF, Kabul, AFG in 2007. Col Rogalski currently teaches European Security and Defense Policy with a particular focus on NATO (US)/EU relations.
