The ECE Distance Learning Program

The distance learning program is being offered as one of the new initiatives of the Naval Postgraduate School Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Other initiatives of the department include unique new research and degree programs in highly military-relevant areas, and graduate programs including those leading to the Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering which combine both on-campus and off-campus instruction.

In addition, the department is planning to offer a series of on-site short courses in topics within the curriculum to provide rapid learning and retraining in new areas of technology such as Neural Networks, Advanced Methods of Digital Signal Processing, and Computer Networks.

Introductory courses in traditional areas of electrical and computer engineering are also available for employees in other disciplines such as physics, mathematics, or other branches of engineering who want to become knowledgeable in electrical and computer engineering. In some cases these short courses can be used for degree credit in longer term degree programs of the department. For more information on any of these programs, contact one of the persons listed below. We will be happy to discuss your educational requirements with you, arrange for a trip to visit the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Monterey, or arrange for us to visit you at your location.
