February 2007- NRL to recognize ECE Prof. Frank Kragh and NPS alumnus Dr. Tim Meehan

Prof. Frank Kragh and Dr. Tim Meehan, who received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the December 2006 graduation ceremony, will be recognized with an award for the paper "Maximum Likelihood Detection of a Bit-Stuffed Data Source". Dr. Meehan's dissertation was supervised by Prof. Kragh. The jointly authored paper was presented at the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) in June 2006 in Istanbul and published in the IEEE ICC 2006 Proceedings. The award was announced by Dr. John Montgomery, Director of Research at the Naval Research Laboratory. It will be presented at the 2006 Annual Alan Berman Research Publications Award Dinner on March 9, 2007 at Bolling Air Force Base. Link to paper (pdf) ...
