GSBPP Programs

The Graduate School of Business and Public Policy (BPP) has responsibility for eight graduate academic programs and awards eight graduate degrees. The largest program is the resident defense-focused Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. GSBPP also offers a non-resident Executive MBA program. In addition, GSBPP offers five specialized Master of Science degree programs focused on particular defense management fields, and non-degree professional development programs.

The Graduate School of Business and Public Policy has the distinction of being one of only a few institutions in the world to have its graduate management programs accredited by both the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the premier accrediting association for schools of business, and the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), the premier accrediting association for schools of public administration.

Resident and Distance Learning Programs

Resident: The Defense-focused MBA is the principal resident degree program offered by the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy. This program incorporates all major curricula including Acquisition, Logistics, Financial Management, Information Systems, Manpower and Defense Management. (International and Marine Corp students in the Manpower Systems Analysis curriculum may follow a slightly different program of study and be awarded an MS in Management degree.)

Non-Resident: In addition to the resident graduate education programs, the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy also offers Non-Resident graduate programs via video teleconferencing and on-site instruction.

  • The Executive MBA program is offered via VTE and on-site instruction to various sites, with the students coming to Monterey for a one-week orientation and an intensive course to kick off the program. Please consult the EMBA page for more detail..

  • The Master of Science in Contract Management, the Master of Science in Program Management and the Master of Science in Systems Engineering Management programs are offered via VTE to various sites across the U.S. These part-time program are designed for the Acquisition professional and provide DAWIA certifications in the context of a graduate degree program.
