Daria Siciliano
Postdoctoral Researcher, National Research Council
Ph.D. Oceanography, UCSC, 2005

Dr. Siciliano has been working with Dr. Olsen in the Remote Sensing Center since November 2005. Dr. Siciliano's research interests include applications of remote sensing to marine and coastal environments, with a focus on coral reef ecosystems. In particular she uses multispectral and hyperspectral imagery to derive biophysical parameters of coral reef benthic habitats, including assessment and monitoring of coral cover, derivation of bathymetry, and spectral discrimination of biological indicators of anthropogenic activity in marine environments. She is a Fellow with the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences.
