The NPS Audio-Visual Department (NPS AV) serves the entire staff, faculty and student body, as well as all tenant commands and NPS-related clubs and organizations for official government business or NPS-sanctioned extra-curricular events.

AV offices are located in He-077, accessible from the back of Herrmann Hall, between the East Wing parking lot and the loading dock.

In addition to the classrooms, NPS AV supports the built-in equipment in King Hall, the Mechanical Engineering Auditorium, Ingersoll 122, Glasgow 102 and 109, and the Barbara McNitt Ballroom. After scheduling these spaces, please contact us to discuss your equipment needs.

If you have any questions about Audio-Visual services or equipment, please call us at 656-2035, contact us by e-mail at audiovis@nps.edu, or stop by the office.

Equipment available for issue includes overhead projectors, VHS players (with either a monitor or projector), 35mm slide projectors, computer projectors, VHS camcorders, cassette and compact disc players, and sound systems for events. Equipment may be delivered or picked up from the AV shop as, needed. Video reproduction and (very limited) editing are also available in the shop. Please note that NPS AV does not provide computers or Internet hookup for events.

NPS AV also maintains the overhead and computer projectors assigned to most of the classrooms on campus. Please contact the shop if there is a problem with this equipment.

Important Note: Unfortunately, not all VTC site systems within DoD are compatible. Therefore, it is imperative that the remote site be contacted to ensure compatibility of systems and determine telephone numbers and usable connection bandwidths. We will determine all of the above information for you, but we need to know whom to contact at the remote site. Usually we can determine all the information we need by contacting the person who has contacted you from the remote site requesting the VTC setup.

Please note that completion of this form does not guarantee a VTC session; we will contact you to confirm your VTC event. Use of the Superintendent's Conference Room for all purposes is subject to availability. The schedule for SCR use is maintained by the Protocol Office.
