Contractors must be issued a Common Access Card (CAC) if he or she is going to work on site at NPS for more than 90 days. This card will be presented to the gate guard each time a contractor enters NPS.
NAVPGSCOL Instruction 5512.1-CH.1-INC (PDF) provides guidance on the issuance of ID cards.
A member of the RSPO contracts staff must approve the CAC application form.
The CAC will be issued for the term of the contract.
If a contractor will be working on site at NPS for less than 90 days, the requestor must put the contractor on the NPS Gate Access list.
When applying for an NPS network account, the contractor must identify himself or herself as contractor (not an NPS employee). Network accounts are obtained at the Student Services Office.
