Amina Kator-Mubarez

Research AssociateAmina Kator-Mubarez

Amina Kator-Mubarez is a Research Associate at the Program for Culture and Conflict Studies (CCS). Prior to CCS, Mrs. Kator-Mubarez conducted research at the University of California, Berkeley on gender mainstreaming and empowerment in Afghanistan.

Amina is a University of California, Berkeley alumni with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Global Poverty and Practice. In 2010, the Afaf Kanafani Scholarship funded Amina for the best paper on the topic of women in South Asia. In addition, Amina received a travel grant through the Blum Center at the University of California, Berkeley to conduct research and interview Afghan youth in Afghanistan regarding domestic violence and deterrence.

Amina Kator-Mubarez's research interests include project-level technical leadership on gender and other social issues related to design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of international development projects in Afghanistan.
