The Foreign Area Officer Association of Monterey regularly holds cultural, professional development, and social events, such as foreign movie screenings, guest speakers and mixers. These events are designed to foster and expand understanding of regions throughout the world as well as to provide you an opportunity to meet other FAOs or people interested in your region. All events are open to anyone interested.
Fellow FAOs - The Foreign Area Officer Association Monterey is hosting dinner on Thursday 24 April @ 1900 at Petra Restaurant, 477 Lighthouse, Pacific Grove. Google Maps directions - Click here. The restaurant serves Mediterranean/Middle Eastern style food.
All are welcome - NPS, DLI, spouses, friends, family, etc.
Total per person is $20 including tax and tip. EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED! There will be a lot of food.
Menu:
- Appetizers: Humus and dolma
- Salad
- Beverage
- Choice of entrée: Kebabs (Lamb, Chicken, Beef, or Kofte) or vegetarian or fish
- Baklava
After dinner, the restaurant management will lead a discussion on different aspects of Jordanian culture.
If interested, please RSVP to Aaron Scheer (amscheer@nps.edu) by COB Monday 21 April with the number of guests to attend. They have limited seating (maximum 40) so this time we may not be able to seat people at the last minute. See you there! |
