NPS Honors Top Grads, Faculty at Summer 2007 Awards Ceremony

Lt. Col. Oleksiy Petrov of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry was one of 40 Naval Postgraduate School students to be honored for exceptional academic achievement and service at the Summer Quarter 2007 awards ceremony Sept. 11 in King Hall. Petrov, the first student from Ukraine to complete the NPS Master of Business Administration Systems Management curriculum, received the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy Faculty Outstanding International Student Award. “This is one of the best schools in the world,” he said. “The fact that I’ve been sent here shows my country is serious about investing in a bright future.” The ceremony, officiated by Dean of Students Capt. Kathryn Hobbs, also recognized six faculty members for outstanding instruction and student mentoring. (Released)
