National Security Institute - The Organization

The mission of the National Security Institute (NSI) is to provide graduates educated at the masters and PhD level who are familiar with the issues and problem of providing national security and homeland defense and are ready to step into positions of responsibility in the federal government immediately upon graduation.
In particular, this will be accomplished by having the NSI foster collaborative research and education between the NSI partners: NPS, Lawrence Livermore national laboratory, and the University of California Santa Barbara
NSI Executive Board
The Executive Board of the National Security Institute consists of
- Mr. T.R. ("TR") Koncher, Interim Head of National Security Programs, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
- Dr. Leonard Ferrari, Provost, Naval Postgraduate School
- Dr. Gene Lucas, Executive Vice-Chancellor, University of California Santa Barbara
The Interim Executive Director is Dr. Leonard Ferrari, Provost, Naval Postgraduate School. The Administrative Director is the NPS Dean of Research, Professor Dan Boger.
