We offer the workshops listed below to the local (Monterey area) NPS community. Most workshops are held in room 151 on the
library's first floor, just beyond the Research Assistance office. Need help now? Workshops, guides and demos are available
here.
If you are a faculty member and would like the Library to teach a Workshop to your resident or distance students, in your
classroom, please contact the Research and Instruction Manager at x7732.
DTIC's STINET
The Defense Technical Information Center’s STINET database contains citations for and often the full text of defense-related
research reports. Coverage ranges from science and engineering to the behavioral and social sciences – if it’s of interest
to the military, then it’s probably covered in STINET! STINET includes reports and theses from all of the U.S. military schools
and reports from agencies such as GAO, DoD IG, CNA, RAND, LMI and many others. Because it is free to the public, you can continue
to use it after you leave NPS, so the time you invest now to learn how to use it will pay off for the rest of your military
career.

is available on the Library's Databases page. You can use RefWorks to import citations from online databases or you can create
your own records. You can then use these records as references in your papers and other documents and automatically format
