EXTENDED ACCESS! As part of the year long NPS Centennial celebration, the Dudley Knox Library is excited to announce that we are able to continue
offering access to a select group of licensed scholarly information resources for another year.* Once registered, eligible NPS alumni can access these highly useful resources 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you graduated
from an NPS degree granting program we encourage you to register and take advantage of the access to these familiar resources.
NEW RESOURCE! Through the generosity of Jane's Information Group, we are particularly pleased to announce the newly added access to the
full suite of Jane's Online, a high quality, world renown source for defense related information. Jane's is providing this
access to NPS for free through 30 December 2009. This is a significant addition to our alumni resources and we hope you will
find it useful.
The Library has licensed a set of resources specifically for Alumni access. Use of these databases and their full-text content
is intended for personal enrichment of our Alumni and not for commercial use. Alumni are welcome to access freely available resources
on the main Library website; however, please note that access to other commercial databases, most e-journals, book borrowing,
and document delivery is restricted to current NPS faculty, students and staff only. Please consult your local library for
assistance obtaining items outside the full-text offerings of our Alumni Access resources.

- RefWorks is bibliographic management software. Users can import and organize citations found in online databases and format
them in papers, reference lists and bibliographies using the style of their choice. Citations not found in a database can
be entered manually. RefWorks runs from the Web, and is therefore available from any computer with Web access.
