Funded Course Development Proposal
Faculty wishing to receive funding to create a fully online course should complete the following:
- Fill out a Distributed Learning Course Development Proposal form (.doc)
- Email OCL at OCL_IDD@nps.edu to schedule an appointment with an instructional designer to write the Preliminary Course Development Plan (.doc).
- Once all signatures have been obtained for both documents, they should be sent to the Director of the Office of Continuous Learning for approval.
Proposals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Consultations
OCL IDD consultation services include:
- Designing online course architecture
- Developing learning objectives and assessments

- Maximizing effective use of Blackboard learning management system

Consultation services range from one-on-one sessions with individual faculty members to customized presentations for departments and other academic groups.
