Feeling Better: Healthcare in the Post-conflict World (July 13 - 16, 2008): This workshop will continue CSRS' examination of how to rebuild healthcare institutions in post-conflict societies. It will draw on key findings from previous CSRS events focused on institution building and the delivery of healthcare--specifically Healing the Woundsand Civil-Military Medicine: On Dangerous Ground. More information on this workshop will be posted closer to the event date.
Working in the Same Space (September 21 - 24, 2008): This workshop will explore how practitioners from the various communities (armed forces, government civilian agencies, NGOs and IGOs) involved in post-conflict reconstruction interact in the field. It will include panels, plenary discussions, role-playing exercises and networking opportunities to examine the different motivations, capacities, strengths and weaknesses of the organizations working in complex environments.
