This seminar marked the second time that the Center for Stabilization and Reconstruction Studies and the United States Institute of Peace collaborated in the delivery of an educational event focused on teaching negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills to members of US and foreign government civilian agencies, non-governmental organizations, inter-governmental organizations and armed forces.
Through lectures, panel discussions, group work and role-playing simulations,
the seminar provided a forum for participants to share perspectives and compare experiences. Interaction among diverse participants with distinct but overlapping missions was a central aspect of program activities.
