CSRS hosted a training workshop facilitated by the United States Institute of Peace October 15 - 19, 2006 at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. The workshop, entitled "Working Effectively in Post-conflict and Humanitarian Situations: Tools for Communication, Collaboration and Negotiation" brought together practicioners from the armed forces, government civilian agencies, NGOs and IGOs to study negotiation and conflict resolution techniques and share perspectives on working in insecure environments.
