Civil-Military Medicine: On Dangerous Ground

January 29 - February 2, 2006 CSRS conducted an educational game exploring the relationships between armed forces, governmental agencies and non-governmental/international organizations involved in the delivery of medical assistance in conflict zones struck by natural disasters.
The game included participants from these three communities who role-played their way through a series of fictional scenarios related to the challenges associated with operating in an insecure environment.
The game was conducted by the Center for Stabilization and Reconstruction Studies and co-sponsored by the International Medical Corps and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs.
The game focused on the relationships between the various actors and the strengths and weaknesses and challenges and constraints facing each community.
Civil-Military Medicine: On Dangerous Ground was the second in a series of educational games exploring the challenges of stabilization and reconstruction activities being conducted by the Center for Stabilization and Reconstruction Studies.
