BRIEF
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The primary purpose
of this position is to supervise and execute
an open recreation program of activities
and events for youth and teens ages 6-17.
Supervises and interacts with youth and
teens in an open recreation environment
either inside or outdoors. Greets youth,
teens, and parents as they enter and exit
the facility. Ensures that all youth/teen
sign in and out on the appropriate daily
counter log. Responsible for maintaining
order, ensuring safety and encouraging youth/teens
to behave within established guidelines.
Executes, supervises and chaperones scheduled-programmed
activities such as tournaments, dances,
parties, lock-ins, on/off base trips, etc.
Drives a 15-passenger van to transport youth/teens
to designated trip destinations. May participate
in the brainstorming and planning of monthly
activities/events that would meet the social
and recreational needs of youth and teens.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age and
possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must complete all Navy Youth training requirements
within the specified timeframe to include
First Aid, CPR certifications. A pre-employment
physical is a requirement of this position.
Must satisfactorily complete required background
checks.
