BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Assists in
providing safe environments and activities
to children ages six weeks to five years
in a CDC classroom setting. Successful completion
of Department of Defense (DOD) and Department
of Navy (DON) standardized training is a
condition of employment (to include Child
Development training modules). Work is continually
reviewed and evaluated in detail for attainment
of training objectives and readiness for
further training.
QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS: 18 years of age and high school
graduate or equivalent required and prior
work experience working with young children
preferred. Ability to communicate effectively
orally and in writing. Ability to attend
and participate in prescribed training program
to include CPR and First Aid within 30 days
and Child Abuse Prevention and Reporting
Course within 60 days of employment. Satisfactorily
complete background checks to include NAC.
Provide pre-employment documentation within
three days of employment. Random drug testing
is a requirement of this position.
