The Department of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School seeks to hire a tenure-track specialist in the history and politics (broadly conceived) of the Middle East and North Africa.
Applications from scholars able to teach the history of the modern Middle East up to the beginning of the 20th century and or Islam are especially welcome.
The Naval Postgraduate School is a fully accredited graduate school, whose students are drawn from the armed forces and civilian agencies of the United States and many other countries. National Security Affairs is a multi-disciplinary department with curricula based on political science, history, and economics. (More information on the NSA Department can be found here.)
All applicants should send a letter of application, c.v., and a recent writing sample. Applicants for appointment as assistant professor should arrange to have at least three letters of recommendation sent to the e-mail or postal address below. Applicants for appointment as associate or full professor should submit a list of at least three references with e-mail addresses.
