The Department of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School seeks to hire a tenure-track historian or political scientist specializing in modern American politics and government.
Applicants with expertise in homeland security, organizational history or theory, and/or the role of Congress in shaping national security policy, are particularly welcome.
The Naval Postgraduate School is a fully accredited graduate school, whose students are drawn from the armed forces and civilian agencies of the United States and many other countries. National Security Affairs is a multi-disciplinary department with curricula based on political science, history, and economics. (More information on the NSA Department can be found here.)
All applicants should send a letter of application, c.v., and a recent writing sample. Applicants for appointment as assistant professor should arrange to have at least three letters of recommendation sent to the e-mail or postal address below. Applicants for appointment as associate or full professor should submit a list of at least three references with e-mail addresses.
