The NPS Center for AUV Research:

• Supports the Fleet, Navy Labs and Program Offices
• Tests and experiments w/advanced technologies
• Provides independent verification & validation of UUV concepts
• Develops innovative concepts for AUVs

• Navigation, Control & Communication
• Multi-Autonomous Vehicle Experimentation
• Multi-Vehicle Operations Acoustic Modem Comms for UUVs while underway
• Obstacle Avoidance behaviors using blazed array forward looking sonar

Our Program:

Over 125 Master's Students graduated plus Seven Past and Present PhD Students come from Mechanical & Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Undersea Warfare Electrical & Computer Engineering and MOVES (Modeling, Virtual Environments & Simulation).
