GSBPP Students

GSBPP is one of four graduate schools within NPS. Our mission is to provide graduate degree programs in a range of management areas for all branches of the military. GSBPP aspires to be the premier school for graduate level, defense focused management education.

The curriculum you are enrolling in, the defense focused Master of Business Administration (MBA), is one of several offered within the NPS Graduate School of Business & Public Policy. We also offer an Executive MBA at selected fleet concentration areas within the U.S. In addition, BPP offers four specialized Master of Science degree programs focused on particular defense management fields, and non-degree professional development programs.

As a new student, you have a principal academic advisor who is the head of each of the academic areas. They are a good first stop for questions you may have concerning your curriculum and academic program. Below is a list of each of the advisors by curricula:

The school also has a program officer who is the military liaison between each student and their respective assignment officer (detailers), NPS faculty, and special programs. Your program officer is CDR Phil Gonda .

Preparation

There is no specific preparation expected of you prior to your arrival and start in the program however we do expect new students come equipped with some level of comfort with both algebra level mathematics and common Microsoft Office applications software.
