Master's Degree in Remote Sensing Intelligence Curriculum

Fall Quarter (Sept 2011 to Dec 2011)

Space Technology and Applications (SS3011)

Winter Quarter (Jan 2012 to Mar 2012)

Computer Vision (Video) (CS4330)

Spring Quarter (Mar 2012 to June 2012)
Summer Quarter (June 2012 to Sept 2012)

Prerequisites: Linear Algebra, Basic Physics, Programming

Note: In addition to a scientific or technical degree, three skill sets need to be acomplisthed to enter the program.

  • Mathematics: Linear Algebra. Any standard college course meets this requirement.
  • Basic Physics: Algebra or Calculus-based introductory course that includes concepts of energy, (electromagnetic) waves, and orbital mechanics.
  • Programming: A basic course in computer programming is required in a modern language, preferably MATLAB.

Students can enroll early at NPS or take equivalent courses elsewhere (prior to the Fall Quarter) if needed to meet these requirements.
