Summer Internship Opportunities in the Remote Sensing Center
The Remote Sensing Center offers opportunities for high school and college students to work on remote sensing research during the summer.
Following the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) requirements:
A student intern must be 16 years old by the start date of the internship (if under 17, a current work permit must be obtained)
An intern must be enrolled as at least a half-time student (defined as taking one quarter class or two semester classes in the Spring Quarter/Semester prior to the internship)
An intern must be a continuing student and submit proof of enrollment from his/her school for Summer or Fall sessions
A student intern must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
Pay ranges from $11.53 to about $16.50 per hour depending on education level and experience. This is a temporary position with no health or retirement benefits. Prepare to devote at least 8 weeks to the summer program in order to accomplish a meaningful project with exciting results.
