Biography
Ryan Jacobs is a Research Assistant for the Center on Contemporary Conflict. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Defense decision-making at the department of National Security Affairs. As an RA he works on a variety of projects, with a notable focus on the Asia-Pacific region and Strategic Insights, the CCC’s scholarly journal.
Prior to joining the team, Ryan was an intern for the House Armed Services Committee during the Fall of 2011 where his research focused on Sino-US foreign and defense policy. During that same time he also served as a Program Assistant at US-Asia Institute in Washington, DC, where he organized foreign policy panel events for policymakers. Originally from New York, he graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, with an BA in International Relations. At Edinburgh Ryan served as the Cofounder and Editor-in-Chief of Leviathan, the university’s journal of politics and current affairs.
