100 Years of Excellence at NPS

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Naval Postgraduate School, a century of Excellence in Education. The university will proudly celebrate this landmark achievement with special events and activities all year long. Currently in the works is an astronaut reunion and military aviation salute, as well as an Energy Fair highlighting NPS’ future as a more sustainable campus, and a Centennial time capsule. We have also planned a Spanagel Plaza renovation and rededication, military Birthday Balls, Remembrance Dinners, and student, faculty, staff, appreciation events. It’s a great year to be a part of NPS! The yearlong celebration has begun and will continue through Memorial Day, 2010. Please join us in celebrating NPS’ historical milestone! We invite you to visit the campus in scenic Monterey during our Centennial year and attend one of our many events.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Dinner

Washington, D.C. Centennial Showcase
On Wednesday, September 9, NPS showcased several current research projects at the Office of Naval Research (ONR).

On Thursday, September 10, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead hosted an NPS Centennial Reception at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va.
