Naval Research Requirements Fair
March 3-5, 2014 • Naval Postgraduate School • Monterey, Calif.
The NPS Studies Program was established to execute the Secretary of the Navy’s (SECNAV) investment of research funds in NPS. It leverages NPS’s structures and policies to address warfighter research requirements and other relevant Naval issues. The Naval Research Requirements Fair serves as a forum for Navy and Marine organizations to communicate their research or analysis needs. It initiates the critical dialogue between researchers and issue owners. Representatives from the OPNAV staff, Navy R&D, F!eet forces, and Marine Corps have been invited to provide their research requirements.
Day 1 - Kickoff Plenary Session
0800-1000 in King Hall. Remainder of the day focuses on issue owners’ presentations of research requirements.
Day 2 - Break-out session
Individual meetings between potential researchers and issue owners.
Day 3 - Brief-outs
Initially prioritized list of requirements from break-out sessions.
The Fair is an essential element in the success of the NPS Studies Program, as envisioned by SECNAV. "The support of faculty and students is critical to its success. All faculty and students are invited and encouraged to participate in the Fair.
