Committee on the Future

Charged by President Daniel Oliver to examine future trends and directions in higher education and within the Department of Defense and Department of Navy, and to lay the foundation for the next strategic planning process for the Naval Postgraduate School, the Committee on the Future looked beyond the boundaries of the present and into the possibilities of the future and evaluated topics in areas related to:

Using input from stakeholders, subject matter experts, constituent groups, peer institutions and parallel committees, the Committee engaged in extensive research and discussions throughout the year to develop its final report, which was submitted to campus leadership in September 2011.  

Committee members are drawn from the campus community, higher educational institutions, private industry, government, and national security organizations.
